Guest guest
Learned tonight that one of our six victims in Utah for 1998 was a 43 year old (previously stated as 44) male that had taken HGH for about six years from age 12 and up. The info was reported to Dr. Judith Fradkin at the NIH. The NIH is aware of the circumstances. His clinical symptoms became apparent in Feb 98 and he died in Jun 98. He was mentally aware of his surroundings and what was going on until the day he died. Information is getting out on CJD -- Was also informed that a Utah Dept of Health Management Team met last week -- one of the subjects discussed was CJD and that a possible case of CJD has been identified in a Utah man(previously reported to CJDVoice as 30 years old and verified by biopsy). They said the disease was very rare and similar to Mad Cow Disease. Also that disucussion was going on making it a reportable disease. They also discussed the concern among Utah morticians on how to safely prepare a body for burial. The above highlights of the meeting were distributed to dept personnel on the lan. ( While we may not agree with all of the statements being made, the subject is being discussed, considered, and the information publicized to department personnel.) Guest guest
Dear Mel, A few questions [1] What was the age of the 43 y.o. HGH recipient at the end of HGH injection period - [incubation period between 26 to 32 years]? [2] Whether this same recipient or his parents had been informed of HGH- CJD legacy? [3] Why was Judith Fradkin informed? Isn't she paid to keep track of HGH-recipient progress? Thanks and best wishes, Lynette.
