Guest guest
Well, we had 2 to choose from. The other one was our GI before since BJ was born but last August he gave us the wrong biopsy results and we upped BJ's Prednisone and took away all food from him so I am not going back to him. Like I told Phyllis, Kansas is not the place to be with a sick kid. Guest guest
Beatrix, I sure hope things start looking up for soon! Poor kiddo! I am at such a loss as to who to take BJ to now. Our only option is 6 hours away and that is quite a drive to be making on a regular basis when you have other kids and no family around. What made me the maddest was telling me to teach BJ to deal with the pain, I can see that he doesn't give a shit about BJ and how he feels. I know we definitely won't be going back to him. Guest guest
Dawn; You sure he was a doctor. My god sound like a total ASS Well I saw s GI again today. He has been bleeding so much and she took time inbetween meeting to check him. He has high eos and inflamation and ulcer in his gut and yes is in pain So where on earth did this GI go to school,Idiot medical school. Wish you could have s GI she is great and we are trying pentasa first. If he isn't any better in the next few weeks we will need to consider prednisone. Well time will tell. Hang in there and I do hope you find a good GI Soon. beatrix>
Guest guest
Hi there; It is hard when kids tell you they are in pain and other then the mother no one listens. For months the school told me is crying wolf and so on. Finally now that we have a few answeres the whole atitude has changed. Even his GI has been better about it. But it took my presistance to go and nag them to get it done. This morning he is burning up and has headaches and sore throat and who know what else. He is still bleeding like mad from his ostomy. I am off to clean him up. I have a feeling we will be heading downtown again today. BUt hang in there and if you need to drive six hours to get a proper diagnoses maybe you should. If they can work together with a ped closer by then it might still not be so bad Beatrix

Guest guest
Beatrix, Basically the doctor said that some people spend their whole life in pain and they live long lives. Ok, so why should I expect my child to do that or who would want to live a life like that.
