Guest guest
Congrats and WTG to everyone! Sounds like everyone had a good week! I hope my question isn't too silly, but I'm just starting out on this and need all the help I can get. I've been trying to avoid products with aspartame, so I went to GNC and bought some Stevia in powder form. It's sold in small packets that look like other sweeteners like S&L and Equal. Anyway, I've never used this product before and my question is this. Do I use Stevia the same as the other sweeteners? In other words, in recipes that call for one or two packets of S&L or Equal, do I use the same amount for Stevia. And, can I use Stevia in baking? Will it hold up to heat (unlike aspartame)? I've tried doing research on the Web for Stevia but all I come up with are pages of ads for the stuff. Appreciate any information you can give regarding Stevia! Thanks!
