Guest guest
Dear Suzanne, I can't beleive what you were put through after your Moms death. There was no reason to put you through all that. My Dad died in 1968 of CJD, and at least we were able to have a normal wake and funeral. No one got sick in comming to the wake and funeral, and at least we were able to say our proper goodbys. We have the genetic form of cjd in our family and it lasts about 10 years. I have had the start of the disease for over a year now, and feel like unless we get a grip on how this disease is transmitted there is a good chance I won't be able to find a dr. that will get anywhere near me. Plus I don't want my family to experience after I die what you have just gone through. This reminds me of the begining days of the AIDs virus. We have to learn and then educate. We have to stop putting families who have already been through hell through more unnecessary suffering. My heart goes out to you and your family.
