Guest guest
> Hi ; I wanted to start the support group, but with and Hubby being bad its been not possible. The lady that is starting it up is on TPN herself due to cancer. She was a nurse and seems to have energy for twenty. Here in Toronto Ontario there are about 200 adults on home TPN just around the greater horse shoe area. As for the kids. I was told that there are 23 home TPN kids at our hospital. I know because he rubbed it under my nose that non of them had ulcers other then grrrr Also that the other childrens hospital only has five. So its a small number. I find that most of them don't care to seek out info or even go on the internet dispite the fact they have it. I call it the canadian lay back atitude of trust your doctors and do as they say. Also they all seem so stressed out and totally blown away by TPN they have a hard time coping. MOst of them are so timit its terrible. The ones that have gone through many years on TPN seem to be much more go at it. Non the less non of them seem to have the drive to get together and do things. Kathy and I seem to be the only ones that tend to do so. Just look at what a small amount of canadians are on this list. Kind of sad really. What are you doing to get them on the list?
