I didn't get to read through them all but some sound good!! Penny DBauer7997: Grainy Bread from a Bread Machine: 1 cup vital wheat gluten, 2 cups unflavored protein DBauer7997: powder, 1 cup wheat bran, 1/2 cup pecan meal DBauer7997: 1 teaspoon salt, 1 package dry yeast, 1 whole egg DBauer7997: 2 tablespoons Splenda, 1 3/4 cups warm water (not hot) DBauer7997: Optional: 1/2 cup sunflower or flax seeds. DBauer7997: Dump everything in the bread machine and set according to manufacturer's directions. DBauer7997: Comes out dark, chewy and dense, like 7 grain bread. Hidden Valley Chicken Breasts developed by Elaine Case 4-5 Boneless Chicken Breasts 1 package Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing (Buttermilk) 1/2-1 lb. Bacon 2 cups. Mixed Shredded Cheese (try pepper jack or jalapeno cheese for a zippy flavor) Arrange chicken breasts at bottom of casserole dish. Sprinkle dressing on top. Lay bacon across to cover all and top with cheese. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake open for an additional 15 minutes. DBauer7997: I did this in the machine all the way through, and it rose so much that it knocked DBauer7997: the top off, hence baking it in the oven. End. DBauer7997: Jan says she slices the second recipe thinly and it comes out to DBauer7997: about 5 carbs a slice. DBauer7997: Haven't tried the 1st recipe yet. Jan says it's dense. The 2nd one is very light. DBauer7997: I put a thin slice of the bread on a cookie sheet, top it with cheese, DBauer7997: and bropil it until the cheese melts and puffs up. DBauer7997: How about Cucumber Sour Cream Salad? DBauer7997: 3 cucumbers, thinly sliced, 2 tablespoons chopped chives, DBauer7997: pepper to taste, 1 cup sour cream, 9 slices bacon, cooked, cooled, and crumbled. DBauer7997: Place cucumbers in a bowl. Mix chives, pepper and sour cream together and pour DBauer7997: over cucumber slices. DO NOT SALT! DBauer7997: Refrigerate for several hours. Just before serving, salt sour cream.cucumber mixture to tast DBauer7997: Pile on torn lettuce leaves & sprinkle with crumbled bacon. Makes DBauer7997: 6 servings with approximately 2.6 carbs per serving. End. DBauer7997: Want a recipe for Chicken Fajita Salad? DBauer7997: 12 ounces chicken breats, 1 green bell pepper, 1 medium white onion DBauer7997: 6 teaspoons canola oil, 5 teaspoons llime juice, 12 ounces fresh lettuce DBauer7997: 1 package Fajita mix, 6 tablespoons picante sauce. DBauer7997: Mix oil, lime juice, fajita mix, meat (chicken is cooked first!) DBauer7997: and marinate for 30 minutes. In a heavy frying pan DBauer7997: cook marinated meat (nope, I was wrong, it's not cooked) until DBauer7997: partially cooked. Add sliced bell papper and onion to mix and cook DBauer7997: on medium high until the veggies are tender. DBauer7997: Let mix cool and serve over bed of lettuce with picante sauce atop. Make 3 servings.End. Crazybob28: I like smoke sauage wih cal. blend veg. and steam it and pour soy sauce on it Wholehouse: I have my own pumpkins, so can use cream, eggs, art. sweet for filling. Wholehouse: just need a crust. Wholehouse: For pumpkin filling I just cut it in half, take out seeds, and bake. Peel the outside off, a Wholehouse: and put the rest in processer with some water to make it chop up. Wholehouse: There are pie pumpkins, and halloween ones. the pie pumkins are deeper in Wholehouse: color usually, and not as huge. 1066: I just made low carb ice cream butter pecan 1066: butterscotch s/f pudding 1066: 2c heavy cream heated 4 egg yolks whisked in 2/3c coconut milk 1066: 1t vanilla, 1/2c toasted pecans, 1t s/f butterscotch pudding 1066: 6pkts splenda, 2pkts equal or to taste 1066: cool and then put in ice cream maker or freezer 1066: delicious ITWN Magic: I had a wonderful LC chicken salad a chef-friend of mine made for me yesterday. ITWN Magic: He used diced-up chicken, onions, walnuts, mayo and curry. It was lovely! JUST BEFORE SERVING, PEEL THE LATEX GLOVES OFF THE FROZEN HANDS. FLOAT STRAWBERRY SLICES AND ICE-HANDS IN THE PUNCH. YOU COULD ALSO DRAPE SUGAR-FREE GUMMI WORMS OVER THE RIM OF THE PUNCH BOWL (I HAVE THE RECIPE FOR THEM TOO) SHOULD BE ABOUT 28 SERVINGS, SO LESS THAN HALF A GRAM OF CARBS PER SERVING! CHOCOLATE MERINGUES (FROM PEAVINE'S LC WEBPAGE) PREHEAT OVEN TO 225* F 4 EGG WHITES 1 TSP VANILLA 1/8 TH TSP CREAM OF TARTAR 12 PKTS ARTIFICIAL SWEETENER 1 TBSP COCOA (UNSWEETENED) 1. MIX THE ARTIFICIAL SWEETENER WITH THE COCOA AND SET IT ASIDE. 2. IN A METAL BOWL, BEAT TOGETHER 4 EGG WHITES, VANILLA, AND CREAM OF TARTAR UNTIL IT FORMS STIFF PEAKS. 3. ADD SWEETENER/COCOA MIXTURE AND BEAT UNTIL BLENDED. 4. DROP ABOUT 1 TABLESPOONFUL ONTO A COOKIE SHEET COVERED WITH WAXED PAPER. 5. BAKE FOR 1 HOUR AT 225 DEGREES. 6. DON'T LET THE INGREDIENTS SCARE YOU OFF! 1 3-OZ BAG OF PLAIN FRIED PORK RINDS, LIGHTLY CRUSHED 2 EGGS 1/2 CUP HEAVY CREAM 1/2 CUP WATER 1/4 TO /3 CUP SPLENDA OR OTHER ARTIFICIAL SWEETENER TO TASTE 1 TSP VANILLA CINNAMON MIX TOGETHER CREAM, EGGS, WATER, SWEETENER, VANILLA, AND 1/2 TSP OF CINNAMON. BUTTER A 1 OR 1-1/2 QUART CASSEROLE DISH. PUT THE LIGHTLY CRUSHED PORK RINDS IN THE DISH AND POUR THE LIQUID OVER IT. FOR ALMOND BREAD PUDDING, MIX 3 TBSP GROUND OR CHOPPED ALMONDS TO THE MIXTURE AND USE ALMOND EXTRACT INSTEAD OF VANILLA. SUGAR-FREE SYRUPS SUCH AS DAVINCI OR DOLCE CAN BE ADDED AS WELL. LINDA'S ALMOST RICE PUDDING (FATKAT'S LC PAGE ON THE INTERNET) 1 HEAD CAULIFLOWER (16 CARB) 1 C. WATER (0 CARB) 3 C. CREAM (20 CARB) 2 TBSP. VANILLA FLAVORING (0 CARB) 4 EGGS (4 CARB) NUTMEG CINNAMON SWEETENER EQUIVALENT TO 1 C. SUGAR SWEETNESS (8 CARB) CUT THE TOP MOST FLORETS FROM THE CAULIFLOWER, CHOPPING SAME INTO VERY MANY PIECES. PLACE IN POT WITH 1 C. WATER AND COOK ON HIGH FOR 10 MINUTES. IN A BOWL, COMBINE CREAM, EGGS, AND VANILLA. POUR INTO POT WITH CAULIFLOWER, COOK FOR ANOTHER 10-15 MINUTES ON LOW HEAT; STIR CONSTANTLY.
