Guest guest
Judy: Being a midwesterner... would that be Kansas City, KS or Kansas City, MO? Depending on the date of the meeting, you might contact Hansen of the Consumers Union. His number is: 914/378-2452. He is out of the country and not scheduled to return until the middle of November. He's one of the most well versed individuals I know of when it comes to CJD, BSE, CWD and all the related studies. Hope this helps. Liz. << We are having an Alpha1 National Association annual national conference in Kansas City in May of 1999. We typically have about 350 to 400 attendees. We are busy trying to line up speakers for the conference agenda. We are interested in possibly having a knowledgeable speaker on CJD, preferably one from the Midwest area. Do you have any suggestions? Who are the experts on CJD in this country? We would really appreciate any help that you can give us. >>
Guest guest
Liz, Thank you so much for the information! Actually the meeting is going to be in Overland Park, Kansas at the Marriot there. Besides the educational conference, we are also going to have a benefit and silent auction that will be open to the public if you are interested. The singers will be some professional entertainers who also have alpha1. The silent auction has loads of items from all over the country. I will post the information to your list as the event gets closer. God bless all of you in your mission. Guest guest
please send me information about this conference and its costs. i am interested in gaining more knowledge in order to inform our medical professionals who are not interested at this time. Both Baylor College of Medicine and Hermann Hospital (where more of the interns and residents go after Baylor) don't want to be made aware of CJD.
