Guest guest
BEVERLY,what a great answer you gave about cjd. There are so many unanswered questions, so many things we do not understand. I will never understand it. People try to help but they cannot possibly know what we are going through. As for my husband, observing him day and night literally, I can say that he has periods when he is much more alert than at other times. I wonder if any of the medical personnel, etc. have ever observed a cjd patient constantly for eight months. I am speaking from my own personal observations and I know there are times when they recognize somewhat the people around them, when they are comforted by the sound of voices they know. Other times they are totally unaware of their surroundings. Given these facts, I feel that an old friend might help if they visit. We never know, so I think visitors should not be discouraged.
