Guest guest
Dear Judy, You are a SAINT!! I think that you have hit the symptoms right on the nose! 's reactions are severe abdominal pain, fatigue, fever, headache, irritability and of course, the ever present weight loss. He also gets a barking cough (that is not asthma) which is not on this list. Dr. Sicherer has told me several times that Matt's fevers are not normal of an Eos. reaction. HAH!! wait until I show him this! Thank you. Matt reached the 45lb. mark! That was until " Tall Pine " , an Indian guest at my son's school fed him buffalo jerky yesterday. You all want to make sure that your kids classroom teachers are educated on the do's and don'ts of your child's diet. When Matt asked what was in the jerky, the reply was buffalo. Matt assumed that it was okay for him to eat. What Mr. Tall Pines did not tell Matt was what it was cured with. We overdosed on soy and now the poor kid is in pain. I understand the mistake because we live next to a buffalo farm and buffalo is very familiar in our home. Is there any information out there that I can use or request information from so that I can help educate my son's school on his disease? As a teacher myself, I would want to know. I do not know enough about it myself to be able to describe the way that it needs to be described. Help!
