I need a little help on an issue...

In reference to " Mad Cow U.S.A. " by Stauber and Sheldon Rampton....in

the " forward " section, 3rd paragraph, I quote....

" Health officials have maintained there are only about 250 new cases of CJD

in this country each year, but several autopsy studies suggest this disease

has been under-diagnosed. "

Help... where did the figure 250 new cases of CJD, in the USA, per year come

from?
