Guest guest
Patti, I wanted to " personally " write you but I couldn't find your e-mail address. I'm responding to the letter that was forwarded from " Terry/Madson " As always these letters really hit home!!!!! I will try to make this letter as SHORT as possible as everyone in this group has already heard my story. It's so freightening (sp?) & coincidental that alot of our families started showing noticable symptoms in Aug. (as did mine.) I knew something was wrong when my mom lost her balance in church (in May '98) & fell on a pew. Aug. is when she decided to stop driving. She was disoriented & would pass up her house. (she forgot where she lived) That was the first time that I really cried for hours. I was scared. scared for her & for the rest of us. To make a long story short, she only got worse & we lost a loving, caring, & perfect mother on Jan. 23, 1999. Like your dad, we also had family members that insisted that she would get " healed " . We had prayer meetings, read the bible & & even had 2 healers come to the house. Just like you, we saw countless doctors & had numerous tests. I'm also flabergasted (sp?) that the doctors could care less of how & why she got this terrible disease. Just like you, we did everything we could. That last week or 2 of her life (when she wouldn't eat) we decided to NOT give her feeding tubes. This is a terrible thing to say, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be (to make that decision) I think we were all sick & tired of seeing her suffer. We knew it was wrong & we knew that's what she would have wanted. I will say a prayer for her tonight. She's in God's hands & he will take good care of her. If you need to talk to someone & want to talk to me privately then please feel free to e-mail me at Kristi118@...
