Hi

My name is AlyceAnn and I live in Pa with my 15 yr old son. I have 2

married daughters. I have been overweight since I was pregnant with my

oldest daughter. I gained 100 pounds with her pregnancy. I went on the

Atkins diet November 1st of 1997. I weighed 185 lbs and I am 4'11 " . By

June of 1998 I weighed 140. The main reason I went on the diet is

(besides the weight) that I thought I was going to die if I didn't do

something radical about my weight and the symptoms that were in my body

due to the weight. I had severe heart palpataions, severe reflux, sereve

arthritis and acid indigestion. By the third day of the diet my

palpatations were gone, no relux, no indigestion and I could sleep at

night with no pain. I was a miracle! The weight came off (sometimes

slowly) but I felt wonderful. The more I read about insulin resistance

the more I know that that is the prob I have. Well I felt so good that I

started to eat *normal*. It only took me a year to gain it all back and

get my symptoms back too. The main reason I gained it was *trying* to go

back on. Going on this for 3 or 4 days and then going back off is a

really good way to gain. (We should let the body builders know) Well I

am now back on (its been a whole 12.4 hrs) I will help with my

experience and I will be glad for the support. Sorry this is so long (it

could have been longer :)!)

AlyceAnn
