Guest guest
, dental instruments do touch nerves when they drill into a tooth and hit the nerve, or when they remove the nerve from a tooth during a root canal. Last root canal I had, I asked the dentist for a brand new set of tools to be used in cleaning the nerve out of the tooth. He willingly complied as he knows that I do not believe he can sterilize his tools in case they are contaminated with prions. I have emailed the National Association of Dentists on this and never recieved a response.
