From Terry/MASDON: flounder@... -- [1st], the article in the Lancet,

nvCJD is only TSE tied to BSE. (PrPSc) v-CJD, shows specific for v-CJD.

The association was based on the molecular phenotype of the

protease-resistent prion protein and its transmission etc. etc. Are they

assuming, by these findings, that this strain of T.S.E., is the only one

that could possibly tied to B.S.E., or is this Fact? Could it be

possible, that the 34 nvCJD victims, are only showing these particular

molecular phenotype of the (PrpSc), because they were highly infected,

as opposed to the rest of the people, only being slightly infected?

Could different strains from different sources show different (PrPSc)?

But, could the bottom line, still be, that all of this was caused by

rendering and feeding practices? {I hope you understand what I am trying

to ask, sometimes I confuse myself}.....My second question [2nd], Dr.

Dumble, would you be concerned, if the FDA had a handbook printed, for

Nutrition and Food Communicators, and on that BOARD was, National

Cattlemens Association, Natinal Dairy Council, National Pork Producers

Council, and the National Food Processors Association, they are Alliance

Members with others, in Liaison with public voice for Food and Health

Policy, U.S. Dept. of Agr. center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion,

U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, Office of Disease Prevention

and Health Promotion, The President's Council on Physical Fitness and

Sports, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and PREVENTION, and the U.S.

Food and Drug Administration? I just think having the cattlemen ass.,

dairy ass, and the pork ass., on as Alliance Members, is kind of like,

telling Saddam, when and where we are going to hit.............Thanks,

Terry/MADSON
