Guest guest
Hello, My name is Heidi and I am helping out a friend who was on the list but had to depart for a while (cant find a server that will work for her right now). Do you remember ? Her son is and is nearly 2 1/2 and recently diagnosed with EG. ANyway, he has been having alot of trouble with bloody diarrhea of late, and last week started vomiting bright red bloody mucous. He is currently in the hospital and since he has lost 3 pounds in just the last week or so is currently NPO and recieving TPN via a peripheral line. ON MOnday he is flying to Salt Lake for a colonoscopy. I know she is really worried about him, and would appreciate any prayers that you could send his way... I will try to keep in touch with her for you, so any messages I will pass along. thanks a bunch, Heidi Forney ( I am on several lists that some of you are on... so you may recognize my standard signature line!) Guest guest
I Just talked to , and she was wondering if anyone has had experience with clay like stools? His peripheral line infiltrated, and instead of trying the line in another location the dru wants to try him back on neocate for a day or two (dr thnks it is a virus, but he has no epxerience with EG!) to see how it goes. AARGH! She says that his stools have changed so they look just like clay, though thankfully the bloody vomiting has stopped. I think she is really tired, and since no one here seems to know how to deal with EG she is also really frustrated. Thanks for any input!
