Guest guest
Hi! I know I haven't written in a while. I am the one that didn't believe that this could be genetic and was convinced that it was caused by my son's oxygen depirvation. After much research, and much more testing on my son, I have some conclusions I felt I should share with you all. It is genetic, in my case anyway. My dh (dear husband) was adopted, and we found his birthfamily. His birthmother is dead already. Immune disorders run in the family. My husband has a half brother by his birthmom. His half brother has a son. That son also had ESG. He also has a few other things wrong with him that my son has wrong with him, such as growth delays, speech delays, that sort of thing. The MRI has shown no brain damage from birth. It is still possible, but unlikely. This has been a struggle. The only healthy grandchild of his birthmothers (out of 4 grandchildren, 3 are boys, 1 is a girl) is the only granddaughter. All 3 grandsons have these genetic problems. I have resigned myself to the fact that this is genetic. I also spoke to Dr. Simpon's (spelling?) partner in NY and found that he also strongly believes this is genetic. I wanted to pass this on, for what it is worth. Plus, it has really been upsetting me as I want more children, but, with dh's genes, well, it seems almost a guarantee that the baby will have ESG. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you! - _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
