CAMPYLOBACTER JEJUNI: AN EMERGING FOODBORNE PATHOGEN

C jejuni is the most frequently diagnosed bacterial cause of human

gastroenteritis in the US. Adding to the costs are chronic sequelae

associated with C jejuni infection -- Guillain-Barre syndrome and reactive

arthritis.
