Hi, well we saw the new GI doctor yesterday. Boy what a waste of a trip.

First he started off telling me that he doesn't believe in eosinophilic

gastroenteritis, he says everyone has eosinophils if you get the right

spot. Ok, never mind the fact that the diagnosis was confirmed by 4 other

GI doctors and all of his biopsies from his gut had eosinophils. That

didn't give me a good feeling to begin with. Then he says that he is

HORRIFIED to find out my son has spent 80% of his life on high dose

Prednisone. He says that keeping BJ out of pain and uninflammed is not

worth the side effects of Prednisone. So, then he says, " you have any

questions? " like he is done. So, I said what should I do about his stomach

pain all the time and tbe fact that he won't eat hardly at all. He said

that we should teach BJ to just DEAL with it! Can you believe this? He

says we need to feed him things that are high in fat and when the

inflammation is down enjoy it and when it is inflammed and his stomach is

hurting him, we should tell him that we are sorry that his tummy hurts.

Boy, what a day!

On a good note, we had our inspection of our old house yesterday and

cleared without owing a cent. This is amazing since our washer leaked and

vibrated and destroyed the laundry room floor and we had a bottle of

furniture stripper explode inside our utility room cabinet. Luckily, we

got a very nice inspector who took into consideration that we lived there 5

years.
