Well, I fell off the Atkins wagon yesterday with a big thud...LOL. I went

to the Renaissance Festival with every intention of eating just meat and

water. But, after the first bite of grilled turkey on a stick (I renamed it

turkey jerky)......I was gone. That meat was so dry I couldn't get it down.

My sweet boyfriend traded with me, he had fish and chips. So, from there

it was an official cheat day. I had a funnel cake, which I had been craving

since the fair was on town last month. Then, a few sips of Dr. Pepper.

But, with it being in the 80s in Texas in November....ugh......we mostly had

bottled water after that. I also had a chimichanga and a cookie ice cream

sandwich right before we left. We were there for almost 6 hours, so I had

plenty of time to do this damage. Anyway, the walking and walking and

walking must have helped because my scale is not showing the huge gain I

expected. Only about a pound. But, here's the good news......today I'm

back with the program!! I don't think my conscience could take more than

one cheat day in a row. Hope it stays that way! I have pretty much kept my

carbs at induction or low 20s since I started. So, I'm not gonna

say....back to induction.... It's really like back to normal.
