DNA marker

Could someone please help me with a medical question regarding CJD that is

genitally linked? It is my understanding that they have located a DNA marker

that can tell you if CJD is in your family. When they pull blood to chart the

DNA for CJD are they also charting that persons entire DNA? Should a persons

entire DNA be charted for future reference since there are many different

theories on how a person may contact CJD? Where do you send the blood sample

for charting?
