Our daughter was on Nutramigen (by mouth) exclusively from about 8 mos. to 16

mos., and had terrible, terrible trouble with constipation. We were forced to

switch to the Neocate because of her EG, and at the same time we started her

on Cholac syrup (for constipation). She has had no problems at all with

constipation since that time - she has been very regular (every day, whereas

it used to be every 4-5 days), and her stools are soft (it used to be

extremely painful for her). If you continue to have trouble with

constipation, I recommend looking into the Cholac. Our gastroenterologist

prescribed it.
