-- Now I know why the Nutritional

Supplement industry has been getting away with the possibility of

Killing us through their products. Besides the fact that they are

TOTALLY unregulated, an article came out in both the Galveston Daily

News and The Houston Chronicle about how the Texas Department of Health

LET THE INDUSTRY LAWYER WRITE THE LAX RULES. Although, this article

pertained to ephedrine, not BOVINE INGREDIANTS......AP--Austin -- Aides

to a state regulator permitted a lawyer representing the dietary

supplement lobby to write LENIENT REGULATIONS on products containing a

stimulant linked to at least eight deaths, the Austin American-Statesman

reported Sunday.....The newspaper also reports the Texas Health

Commissioner ENDORSED the rules on ephedrine OVER OBJECTIONS of EXPERTS

ON HIS OWN STAFF....... " The rules as currently written would only serve

to FACILITATE MARKETING OF EPHEDRINE PRODUCTS AT THE EXPENSE OF PUBLIC

HEALTH, " Dennis Baker, head of the TDH food and drug safety bureau,

wrote to Health Commissioner Reyn Archer in a Nov. 10 memo obtained by

the newspaper......////// You know this just really chaps me. I just

wonder how many of our Government officials are being payed off by BIG

INDUSTRY, to kill us???? If they can do this to us with EPHEDRINE, just

think what the BIG CATTLE INDUSTRY could do, with their BIG BUCKS and

their potentially TAINTED BSE CONTAMINATED BOVINE INGREDIANTS going into

these supplements.............I have written Commissioner Archer many

times on this issue, with NO RESPONSE......This just proves, that the

possibility, REALLY EXISTS..................Terry/MADSON
