Guest guest
Just a quick note to let everyone know that the Today Show is doing a series on Alzheimers Disease this week and it presents an opportunity for us. Caught one segment yesterday and it seemed well done. Through their web site--Today@... (I think that right), I emailed them a letter regarding CJD and how often it is misdiagnosed as Alzheimers. I included facts that possibly as many as 13% of AD is really CJD. I asked them to mention or question the doctors they were interviewing about it to alert people that CJD is out there and confused with AD. Also told them that it was not as rare it seemed, but rather a victim of misdiagnosis. Got an email back instantly thanking me for my email. Whooppee. Who knows if they'll do anything--I couldn't watch it today. More importantly, their web site at msnbc.com has this email reply available at the bottom of the site. It is really easy to do. Maybe if everyone took a moment and passed on information to NBC we could get some publicity. You know the old saying about " the squeaky wheel " --let's be the squeaky wheel.
