Guest guest
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear friends- 1. I'm pretty sure this is a hoax and that there isn't really a law proposed to charge long distance rates on the internet. If I'm wrong I'd love to know it, but please only reference a primary resource, not an anonymous email (which are almost always hoaxes). 2. Even if this were true, it could perhaps be a good thing. At present, many technologies exist that are vastly superior to standard dial-up access to your internet provider, but they are economically unfeasable. If a long distance charge were imposed, it would stimulate research and development of other technologies. Economies of scale would bring prices down on satellite access, cable modems, etc. Lastly- remember that AlGore is running for president and wants every child in America to have access to the internet (except those children who wear black to school). Who would pay the school's long-distance bills? AlGore's own web site was in violation of federal laws (not yet in effect) that prohibit you from soliciting personal information from minors (designed to thwart pedophiles). Seems he wanted to send personal emails to the kiddies to try to get to the parents to vote for him. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 6.0.2 iQA/AwUBNyh7NbRs1SCvxwiYEQI/CACcC/paD21oP670dXQk4j783CWFkwUAoOd1 pwsVRdSnRiwe2ZK84Ssy2xiG =akII -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
