Suzanne,

We have thought of that and so far almost every color is already used. So far

I have not heard of any orange ribbons. Black or white was a choice, but

recently because of the Dialo shooting in NYC, they are wearing black ribbons.

One of our members from out west is wearing a blue ribbon, however, I saw on

the Internet an organization that is using blue ribbons.

I was going to have the tri-fold brochure printed on colored paper, but white

paper with black lettering is the least expensive. Carol (CBYX2) a group

member has a printing business and she does not charge for the printing.

pink: breast cancer

yellow: hostages

black: Dialo and MRIs

purple: gay pride

red: AIDS

blue: I don't remember the organization on the Internet - when I search again

I will try to find it.

I can't check this out right now. Let me know what you find.............Pat

Dolly or Liz....

Do we have a ribbon that is worn for CJD victims? I know that a red

ribbon is worn for AIDS victims. I was wondering if CJDVoice has one? If

not....why not start one? I'd like to wear one.... Do we have a color? If

so what is it? If not....let's pick one...

Pat,

I will help in any way...but don't know how to being to find out what

color ribbons are being used....Does anyone know how to find this out?

There must be some color not being used..... Green, aqua, cranberry,

peach, mauve, ....etc....There are loads of colors in fabric stores... maybe

a multi color ribbon....ie: black and white stripe? How about an angel in

the center? Or the letters CJD for the center..... Let's put our heads

together....

Suzanne, I like that idea (of CJD in the middle)

That's a wonderful idea. How about gray (for the brain)

Isn't the brain gray?

just an idea. whatever you decide is fine with me.

I'll wear it with pride.

Sounds like a great idea to start up before our conference in June! Maybe

we'll draw some attention if all of us start sporting a new different

color!
