Guest guest
Hi, things can be so frustrating sometimes. I went to this hospital in TelAviv with my son and I was really impressed with the hospital and their staff . I gave over the his whole story and with in 15 minutes a whole team of doctors is on his case. They ordered all the tests and I was supposed to go in to do them today. But of course things aren't all that easy the insurance said they won't pay for him to do the tests at this hospital and I have to do it in the insuranse. So I did it this morning and they came out that he has reflux. The big problem of this whole thing is that my pediatrician saw all the results and he said this is not the test I sent you for what they did in the insurance what you need is only done in this hospital in Tel aviv. So I don't know what to do now. My big question is What is reflux?Could that cause problems in swallowing of solids? The doctor wants to put him on prepusid and Zantic do they work? How long does it take to see if it works or not. Miriam is on 5mg p/day of steroids her behavior is much better at this dose and she is eating much less then before. The only thing is she is starting to go back to loose stools but not watery. I am finding that she is a picky eater. she is only eating baby rice cereal for breakfast, rice cakes and a leg of a chicken for lunch Pop rice (thanks to Phyllis she loves them) for snack and again rice cakes and boiled chicken balls. She does not like vegetables or apples. If she has loose stools now does that mean the steroid treatment is not going to work with her. Also seh has a tremendous amount of bruises on her legs is tht a side effect of the steroids.
