Guest guest
This has not been proven yet and is only my theory, I'm no doctor or researcher, but I believe that many diseases including in the brain would be caused by natural aging, inflammation and free radical damage. Aging is caused by programmed cell death and free radicals. Free radicals are caused from pollutants in the air, food that we eat/drink and stress. By reducing free radical in your body with good food and antioxidants I would think you would delay the onset of disease. Is this correct???? I would be very interested in comments from the researcher/doctors in the group. Green tea contains a family of naturally occurring chemical compounds called polyphenols. The main polyphenols in tea are catechins, which include the compound epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG seems to inhibit cell growth and play a role in apoptosis (programmed cell death) _ both of which appear to be important in the prevention and control of cancer. Polyphenols are also potent antioxidants that help prevent free radical damage to cells and the oxidation... Thanks H.
