Not Weight Related??

I am wondering what this means... aside from the odd joke or two, and a

couple of the " cannibal joke " voting posts, it seems to me that virtually

every post I ever see on this list is somehow " weight related " .

How is a discussion of comments that hurt, given the preponderance of them

in all our lives, not something that is " weight related " ?? Comments, jokes,

and sly looks regarding my weight simply cannot be only MY experience!!

Surely support in dealing with such is " on topic " ??

Weigh in's and congratulations for successes seem completely relevant to me.

This is a support group after all, and congratulations are supportive. A

public " standing ovation " is motivational not only to the recipient, but

also to others, in many ways. Perhaps motivating them to merit one of their

own, or simply in the ability to be publicly supportive. Giving kindness is

a blessing to both the giver and the receiver.

Recipes? no comment, that should be obvious...

Carb questions? ditto, and ditto on questions regarding ketosis, stalls,

ketostix, induction, exercise, etc.

Comments on television shows - while I tend to miss most of these interviews

and reviews, I appreciate folks sharing the information. It is personally

satisfying to see others validating the method I have chosen to make a major

change in my life.

Intros - of course it's simply polite to say hello when you join a group.

So, I like reading the intros from the new folks. And while certainly

responses to an intro could be sent to the individual, rather than the whole

list, I'd have to say this is the ONLY area I really feel that way about.

I'm looking through the postings, and finding very, very few that are not

weight or " diet support " related. I'm wondering what all the brouhaha is

about ....

God bless,
