Remember, the sympotms of EG/EE mimic gastroesophageal reflux disease

and irritable bowel. There certainly may be something to a family with

reflux being predisposed to EE or EG.My husband also has

reflux/indigestion significant at times. We scoped him and NO eos.

The difference in EE/EG and GERD/IBS seems to be that we do not respond

to any meds, become seriously ill from it. I would think that if some

of you with GERD symptoms actually did have EE/EG you would have been

through tons of GI testing/scopes and numerous hospitalizations (I wound

up on TPN twice before my diagnosis and had over 30 hospitalizations

throughout my life.

If any of you are concerned about EE/EG, you need only get to a GI and

get scoped. THe answer is easily obtained.

My thoughts.

(idiopathic eosinophilic esophagitis, GT, former TPN'r) and

mom to five boys, all with EE, three with GTs and one on TPN (kody)
