To All;

Just over this past weekend I was able to get a copy of the National

Enquirer and read the article everyone was discussing last week. They were

trying to pass off that CJD is transmitted by infected blood

products......there quote " thought to be spread by a virus-like agent

through infected blood products --and possibly through infected beef. "

I wrote the National Enquirer a detailed letter explaining the errors in

this journalism. I sent them the actual ways of transmitting CJD and asked

for a retraction in their paper and a correction. Adding that this will

cause hysteria in their readers. I believe because of their widespread

publication and avid readers their information should be correct. They

couldn't of possibly got this information from any health proffesional, or

reading on CJD. I will keep all posted on how they respond. I agree with

Liz and this is not the information that should be spread about. We need

correct public awareness.

Sincerly

a G.
