Guest guest
> > Subject: Low Carbs and Sugar Problems and Hospital diet Bill, as a diabetic I know how some of the standard diabetic diets go. At one point I was given a diet sheet that had 12 carb exchanges on it if you counted all starches, plus fruit. But I also know that at the time NO ONE could have convinced me to go on this plan. Sometimes we have to stop " preaching " at those we are trying to help and let them find it for themselves. IMHO, I would run in the opposite direction if someone were trying to push a way of eating down my throat because I am just plain stubborn. What I didn't know at the time, is that consuming so many carbs is part of what made me irritable, etc. This way of eating has to be something you WANT to do. There are a lot of people who think this is to rigorous for them to follow. To me, it is easier than any diet I have ever tried to follow. I am never hungry and I feel good. But point is... you could not have told me that six months ago. These are things I had to learn for myself. Let him see by your example, your increased energy, general improved health. He won't be able to argue with success.
