Re: options for treatments

Hi this is Tina and I just wanted to ask you guys, the kids who are on

formulas did you start out full strengh half strengh, or how did you do it?

did they have problems? was it the formulas? or the consontrate? or the rate

too high Guys please I need some help, I am being to think our world is

falling apart. I know that my stress level is off the charts, I can't sleep

or eat I think what can I do next? I have done as much research that I can

possible do, I get angry at every one I cry, and keep saying this is not

fair. I am trying to think positive and then Im like I will try this and

then it doen't work I try something different it doesn't work, I have thought

maybe I should ask if we can put her back on prednisone, crazy I would go

nuts before I did that again what else can I do? There is a natural healer

I have thought about that , some different herbs thought about that I have

prayed had churches pray and so on down the list. now what? I really needed

to vent and scream some more some body please help it seems that ALyssa 's

docters canmaybe someone going through this can give some type of input

I am sorry you are having such a hard time. Sounds like you are having one

of those pull your hair out times. They can be so awful. I think about you

often and keep hoping you will find some answers. I am sure they are out

there, just very elusive at this point. I know you will hang in there

because you love your baby. (they are always our babies, no matter how old

they are) I hope you can find some quiet time for yourself. Or maybe

taking a drive and turning the radio up full blast and screaming at the top

of your lungs. It may help you relieve some of that stress. You need to

take care of yourself, so you can take care of Alyssa. You are in my

thoughts and prayers.

With (he doesn't have the eosinophil stuff, but does have food

allergies) we have to start out w/ pedialyte first, then 1/4 strength

formula w/ the rate at 30 ml an hour, leave it like that for 2 or 3 days,

then go up 1/2 strength at the same rate, then full strength at the same

rate.... Stay at each rate for 2 to 3 days as is tolerated. We are trying

's stomach again as his gastric jejunal tube came out last Friday. I

heard from a mom who also has the Zevex entralite pump about doing feed

intervals. We feed 30 ml for 2 hours & then give his stomach an hour

break, then the pump starts up again on his own. So far it is working

wonderfully.... If you need help give me a call . Hope this

when we've had enough & scream as loud as we can... then laugh... then

laughs w/ us.... I know it sounds crazy, but really helps.
