Guest guest Posted February 18, 1999 Report Share Posted February 18, 1999 It really saddens me to hear anyone speak of Clarence Gibbs--someone who has spent all of his professional life doing research on CJD--as " trivializing " the incidence of CJD. Perhaps this was an unfortunate choice of words, but even the word " minimize " seems to me to be off the mark. Yes, I think it's good to be watchful. That's why universal reporting of CJD would be helpful, so any increase in CJD could be verified. But we need to seek TRUTH, whatever that truth may be.
