Guest guest
Isn't it interesting that these two cows are 5 and 7 years old. I wonder if we would find BSE in the US and Canada if we let the majority of our cattle herds live that long? I believe the average age for slaughter in the US is about 22 months. Anyone know for sure? I also wonder if anyone has ever thought to check dairy cows? They obviously live longer (since they aren't slaughtered for meat) and I know of a few CJD cases where the victims had direct contact with dairy cows. Beverly G.
