Guest guest
Deanna I know EXACTLY where you are coming from. I also have a former 28weeker who is now 3.5 yrs going on 10 LOL, and I have to say that my biggest concern (besides losing my baby again) is to have another preemie. I could live quite happily with a 34/35w but anything earlier terrifies the living daylights out of me. Before signing up at abbyloopers (back even b4 they were even on yahoo) I was pretty sure that I was not going to have another one, because I just didn't want to take the risk of losing another, but this group has really given me the hope that I can have a pretty normal pregnancy and hopefully carry to at least 35w. I know that this is my only chance, and yes despite the fact that I am terrified, I really feel that there is a great chance of having another child (that is if I can fall pg LOL) ((((HUGS))))) Shona strongmom32 wrote: I was feeling kinda down about things yesterday. I am very blessed to have Tommy, and I totally realize that. I feel for some reason that we should try again, but I'm scared. But I guess like you said go with your heart, and my heart tells me to go for it. I have the same worries everyone else does, like them placing the stitch while pregnant, and then I read about being over weight, etc.... Well once again thank you, and Congrats to you on following your heart. Guest guest
> Hi Shona, Just wanted to say thanks for responding. It's nice to know that others feel the same way. I think one of my biggest scares is also the operation. For some reason I'm just really scared of it. I've only had one other operation and that was for my appendix, so I wasn't cut totally open. Also the doctor who would be doing mine has only performed 4. 3 worked and one didn't, he thinks because the stitch was placed to late in pregnancy. I'm sure all will go fine, but you always have to worry yourself to death. Guest guest
I think what you are feeling is perfectly normal Deanna. I'd had numerous surgeries (2 knee operations with 3" cuts etc), and I was still terrified beyond words at having the operation done. Don't know why, but I was terrified that I wouldn't wake up from the surgery and would die on the operating table. Looking back I can't believe how silly I was, but on the other hand we have all gone through a major amount of stress, and your mind definately plays nasty tricks on you. Where abouts do you live and who is the doctor that is going to perform the abdominal? Blessings Shona strongmom32 wrote: > Hi Shona, Just wanted to say thanks for responding. Guest guest
> Ok, this is kinda weird I thought I put a message out on the board but it wasn't there so here I go again. The doctor who would be doing the surgery is Dr. Dennis Worthington @ St. ph's Hospital in Milwaukee Wisconsin (that's were we live) He has performed 4, 3 were successfull and one not, he claims it was due to the surgery being done so late in the pregnancy. I totally agree with you, that we all have been thru so much, and our mind does tend to wander in worry. I am afraid of all that silly stuff, like what if I don't wake up. What if. I guess if we dwelled on what if, nothing would ever be done hey. I am very thankful for this board, it's a relief to know that what I'm feeling is normal.
