Dear Sir, I find your comments on MADCOW DISEASE interesting.......

1st, your statistics are WAY off (if this article is recent),

since 1990, there has been apprx. 900,000,000 cattle raised in the U.S.

since 1990, " ONLY " apprx. 7,000 brains have been checked for B.S.E.

100,000 DOWNER cattle annually...........I believe I was corrected on

this, the corrected stats for 1998 was around 98,000+ DOWNERS....

Scrapie has run rampant in the U.S. for years.....

Our feeding and rendering practices, have mirrored that of the U.K. for

years and years......some say it was worse, ( if you look at the

evidence brought forth in the Oprah trial, by Van , Baltimore City

Paper, it would sicken MOST PEOPLE, of the Rendering practices. Sheep

heads and any ROADKILL, regularly went into the VATS.........

If this is the ACTIVE SURVEILLANCE PROGRAM that the U.S.D.A. has, you

speak of, excuse me, " HA HA HA " , I had to laugh, to keep from

crying........

But, if you think that B.S.E. is just a U.K. thing, you are going to be

in for a RUDE AWAKENING.........(This is a WORLD problem) It has not

been found in the U.S., because they are not looking.........

Look how it is spreading from Country to Country in the U.K., and

elsewhere.

Your Hypothosis, of CJD typically occuring in individuals over 60 years

of age, has been proven wrong lately, as well.....

(it's not just a U.K. thing, and it's not just a YOUNG PEOPLE thing

either)....

Your comments on the " CONVENTIONAL CJD " in the U.S., seem to have come

straight from the notes of the CDC or NIH or WHO.......

(conventional--Established by custom or general agreement, following

approved or established practice). Since when did Science stop using

Factual Scientific Proof, and start using general agreements, on

something THAT HAS " NOT " BEEN PROVEN.............

Whom ever one it was, I believe they are VERY wrong. How can you or

they, give an accurate count, when there has been several different

tests that prove AT LEAST 13% people diagnosed with Alzhiemers, accually

have C.J.D. (my 9 person study, would put it closer to 50%,

understanding, my study don't mean nothing.)

That is not considering the other WRONGLY DIAGNOSED CASES...

NO AUTOPSIES, ETC........

I would like to know the Programs put into place to prevent the

introduction of the disease to the U.S. cattle herd???

If you are speaking of the SO-CALLED BAN on feeding by-products back to

cattle. They have not stopped that completely, and even if they had, it

will stop nothing, if they are still allowed to feed those same

potentially contaminated by-products to pigs and chickens, and then feed

those by-products BACK TO CATTLE.........

Then you still have to consider, what about all the cattle (and people,

via nutritional supplements, cosmetics etc.) that was feed the

potentially infected by-products, before the Aug. 4, 1997 Ban. You would

have to consider the time this agent can stay dormant, would you not???

(30 TO 50 YEARS)....

You speak of no evidence of B.S.E. and nvC.J.D. being in the U.S.

Checking one tenth of one percent, out of 900 million head of cattle

since 1990,

DOESN'T PROVE ANYTHING, other than those 7,000 cattle didn't have B.S.E.

BUT, what about those 893 MILLION OTHER CATTLE, that were fed the same

potentially infected feed as the U.K., what about those cattle???

I SAY IT IS here, somekind of strain of a T.S.E.......

I will give ya this, My Mom might not have died from MADCOW, could have

been MADPIG, OR MADPILLS, OR MADMAKE-UP OR MADSURGERY.

BUT, IT ALL STARTED FROM THE " FEED " ...........

" MAN AND GREED " Sir, this is the problem......

You speak of reporters or members of the public, raising undue concerns,

sensationalizing, about B.S.E. and C.J.D. and MADCOW.

You would have to see this hideous disease, eat at one of your loved

ones, to really understand. You would have to see and feel the JERKS.

Jerks so bad, it would take 3 of us to hold her down at times. Hear the

screams of, " WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME, WHY CAN'T I STOP THIS " ........ You

would have to watch a loved one go, from a perfectly healthy person, to

a jerble mumbling, jerking, falling down, idiot, (Sorry Mom,you know

what I mean), and die in 10 weeks time. Something that looked EXACTLY

like those cows, (EVEN THE BRAIN).......you never get that out of your

mind. You would have to see this, to really appreciate the term

MADCOW...........

Then you have the SPECIALIST tell you, that it's not here, that's just

in the U.K. and it's just in young people. (then there is a 30 year old

die from it, or a 36 year old, or a 47 year old, the list just keeps

getting longer). OR, you here them say, " oh, that's SPORADIC CJD, NO

KURU PLAQUES, (then you have a sporadic CJD case, with KURU TYPE

PLAQUES)........

GO FIGURE...........

Sir, it's here, Myself and many many more have seen it, People are

dying from it.

You and the rest of the Government officials, can continue to stick your

head in your ass, (I have a picture of this accual procedure) and by

doing this, you are going to help the spread of this hideous disease.

and then of course, the fact that this person works for AFBF Public

Policy Division, would not affect his comments on this subject, at

all.............. " NOT " !!!!!
