My name is Dolly and I am one of the founders of CJD Voice. It was

my pleasure to work with Bill Urdanick beginning in December 1998... and to

help him through Helen's CJD illness. It is important to me to reach out to

other spouses because I also lost my husband to CJD.

Our group members reach out to support those who are losing a loved one to CJD

or have already lost someone to CJD. We also provide a forum for discussion

of topics relating to CJD. We are trying to increase public/medcial awareness

of CJD and lobby for increased funding for research into CJD. We want to

change the state to state reporting practices of CJD to the CDC.

Greetings. My name is TeddieZ & I am a new subscriber to The Cjd Mail

Distribution. I became interested in Cjd when a church member was diagnosed

several years ago. Also, I was heartbroken to hear that my friend Helen

Urdanick was afflicted with the disease. Even now we hear that 6 people in

Utah now have Cjd.
