Hello,

I'm new to this list, so please bear with me. I have a few questions that

may have been addressed before. First, a little history. I have 4

children. My youngest, , has the most health issues. She has asthma,

multiple severe food allergies, GERD, EG, atopic dermititis, and delayed

emptying syndrome. She is on many different meds (Claritin, Flonase,

Flovent, Singular, Tilaide, Sulfazine, Prilosec, Nystatin and Neomycin).

My main problem with her right now is her feeds. She is on Vivonex. I am

trying to get her switched to Neocate, but it seems to be an uphill battle.

The GI's office is not convinced that the Vivonex is not good for her.

almost always fights her feeds, sometimes screaming that she doesn't

want them. She rarely sleeps at night, often waking up in pain. She also

quite frequently has blood in her stools, hence the sulfazine. My question

is this: is this " normal " behavior for a 4 1/2 year old with a g-tube? My

other children have some health issues, but not as complex as 's. Any

advice from other mothers who " have been there and done that " would really

be appreciated.

Sherri

P.S. Sorry this is so long. I'm just really frustrated.
