Guest guest
I have been on gastrocrom for several years. I don't know how many amples your daughter is taking, but it does have a taste to me. It tastes very bitter, but you get used to it. I mix mine with water - I was told to ONLY mix it with water - and now water without gastrocrom in it tastes funny. Try squirting any ample on your tounge to see how it tastes. Maybe my taste buds are more sensitive. I take 8 amples 5 times a day or before I eat anything. It has been a life saver for me. the best medicine I have ever been on. ashley {19 yrs old w/ EG} _________________________________________________________
Guest guest
There are a lot of doctors out there that say it causes no side effects, but from countless times of other medications they have proven to be wrong. I am not saying to stop it. If you think it works great then keep going. But if I were not sure I would go a trial off of it. Why put something foreign into a child that doesn't even work or minimally works at that? [eosinophilic gastroenteritis] Gastrochrom >From: andrewjh@... > >My daughter has been on gastrocrom for over a year. We have found that it works or at least seems to, at times. Gastrochrom is the same medication given to Asthma sufferers but in a different form. There is no hard evidence that it works on EG but all the doctors I have spoken to say it it causes no harm at all. My daughter, who is extremely finnicky about anything that goes in her mouth, has no problem with it at all.. She confirms that it is tasteless and odorless. If Tali says it has no taste then it has no taste! She drinks it with water and apple juice. > >------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Who is the most visited e-mail list community Web Service? >http://www.onelist.com >ONElist.com - where more than 20 million e-mails are exchanged each day! Guest guest
Yes, I have tried to go off of gastrocrom, but it was not worth it. I felt terrible. ashley _________________________________________________________
