, Teena, Jean, and Others,

I went to a nutrition store and looked up supplements for hair loss and am

taking them with no results, so far. Thanks for the tip on the GNC supplement

for hair. Will keep that in mind. Am not in a panic yet because my dr. says

this is normal and will stop. Let's hope so.

It took me a long time on induction to burn up the ketones in the purple

zone. I just started adding veggies a couple of months ago and I have been on

this WOL since May. Since I am a compulsive overeater and have screwed up my

metabolism with yo-yoing for years, I have to do this the way it works for me.

I encourage you to continue to think of it as a WOL and not a diet. It really

does work and is the easiest way I have found so far, and I have tried quite a

few plans, including multiple times with WW. I have never given up caffeine and

didn't realize that was suppposed to be a big deal until getting on this list.

Am still not ready to tackle giving it up because I don't think I could do it

for a lifetime.

My doctor also approved the Atkins plan for me and I am having some blood

pressure problems too. Since he is being so cooperative I am following his

advice to add more green vegetables. I stay in the trace to small ketone level

so hope that I am still losing weight, although slowly. It helps me not to

weigh very often. That punctuates for me that it is a WOL and not a diet.

Besides, being compulsive, I am afraid that a disappointment will send me into a

junk food eating jag.

I have heard about a lot of news recently on a morning TV show about how

bad the Atkins diet is for us but I didn't see it. Does anyone know where I can

get information on this/these broadcasts?

Jane
