Guest guest
...and into the list! I'm back on after a week or so of lurking - and feeling discouraged. My scales just won't budge and my clothes don't feel much different ( a little, not much). Today is Day 22. I've been focusing on really " listening " to my body's responses over the past several weeks and I've learned some things. First of all: I'm in and out of ketosis ALOT. I went in around Day 11 and I've been bouncing back and forth ever since. I can't find the pattern as to what bumps me out. Some days I've stayed well under 20 carbs and been out, other days I've been over 20 and been in. This week I'm experimenting with completely eliminating my " legal " sweets -- SF jello, Lo-Carb brownies. One thought I have had, and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with -- I don't know if I'm eating enough. Who can believe this?! I'm wondering if my calorie count has dropped so low that my body is slowing down my metabolism....I'm just not eating unless I'm hungry, and I've been doing so well at eating my protein that I just don't feel hungry, so I'm not eating much. Aarrgh! Add to all of this the fact that I'm battling a nasty bout of the flu, so I'm medicating which is dehydrating me, and all I want is some tomato soup, darn it!! The good news: I LOVE this plan! I was convinced I would never be able to do this -- no potatoes! no pasta! But I really don't miss it at all. Last night I had my first and only cheat!! My significant other decided to go " way off " Atkins last night and ate brownies -- ALOT of brownies. I said, " Hey, let me have a bite of that. " Took literally one bite and regretted it immediately!! It tasted so disgusting and felt like there was a film in my mouth!! Yippee!!! I really CAN do this! Now if the scales would just cooperate.... Could use a litte encouragement today...Thanks! Atlanta, GA 150/145/
