Guest guest
Have you tried rice or corn? How about white potatoes. Clayton can have -- oats, rice, corn, potatoes, apples, pears. That is when he eats which is almost never. He does eat a little -- but it would not sustain a humming bird. Have your tried any of those? Try one new food a week. Guest guest
We have tried rice white and brown and it didn't go and we also tried white pototoes, carrots ,apples, chicken, fish, meat, turkey, peas , greenbeans, wheat, eggs(thats when all her troubles began.Other things I can't think of. Have you ever heard such a thing that your child has been looked at by doctors numerous times in a year and a half and not once did anyone notice that he has no tonsils. I am still waiting to hear the results of my sons tests. I decided last night that I am going to take the kids to America and have Dr. Sampson see them. I have an appointment May 3. I'm a little nervous coming by myself (my husband will stay here with my oldest daughter so she won't miss school.)but I beleive I have no choice and the kids can't keep going on with out any food. Guest guest
Shana, Have your kids actually been diagnosed with eosinophilic esophagitis or eosinophilic gastroenterititis? Actually, your kids can live long and useful lives solely on elemental formulas. All of my kids (except Kody who is on TPN) and myself are going on formula-only diets as soon as we see Dr. next week. If we are unable to determine which foods caues the problems, we are ALL getting GTubes are be done with it. The reason I ask, is because you are the ONLY other person who has siblings with this, if your kids have been diagnosed. Also, prednisone clears up EE and EG temporarily and is often used to definitively diagnose the disease. (If they respond to steroids, it rules out a few other diseases) For your info (and others with kids with EE), my latest EGD revealaed ANOTHER STRICTURE. So obviously steroid treatment alone is not the answer for me. Granted, I self-tapered a few times, but have been on it most of the last year. Will let you know how the NEOCATE diet goes. EE has destroyed my esophagus and I will NOT let that happen to my kids. SJHarlow@... http://www.c4isr.com/harlow
