Guest guest
I'm kind of confused about how treatment options are decided after listening to both my doctors and the list. They all seem to say " elemental diet " as the first response to this diagnosis, but what about flovent and gastrocrom? Are they in order to let you eat more foods so you can survive on a " regular " diet? Do people ususally try them first ? Our G-I says he will probably send us on to Dr. Samson at Mt. Sinai after the G-tube. I' remember someone on this list mentioning him. Any idea how long it will take to get in? We are going to try doing neocate orally over the next three weeks before the tube. Just the smell of it gags me, iel is 4 years old, has anyone else had success introducing it at this age? Vicki, mom of Zac, age 7, and iel, age 4, with allergies to everything, asthma, reflux, allergic esophagitis
