Guest guest
Joy, When my 12 yr. old son was first diagnosed, the tissues in his esophagus, stomach and intestines all looked healthy. But the biopsy results came back showing high eosinophils in all three organs. The second time he was biopsied, all three organs had normal eos counts (he'd been on steriods for 4.5 months). The third time he was biopsied (5.5 months after stopping steroids), all tissues in all organs looked healthy. But the biopsy for the esophagus came back with a high eos count. The other two organs had normal eos counts. Shane has not had his colon scoped or biopsied, but they will scope it the next time he needs to be scoped. You can certainly share this with your doctor. Thanks, Lynn

I'm collecting information to give my doctor so he maybe will consider biopsying my esophagus >> 's first endo the Dr. said his esophagas looked ok, but they woiuld see what the biopsies showed. They came back with eos. His last endo in Dec. looked good, and after being on flovent for a few months, the biopsies came back with eo's gone. He will be having another endo in 9 days, I'll let you know how that goes. Cathy

Is your son eating food still? Does he have food allergies? Is he taking meds now? will have another endo on the 24th. to see if the eo's are back.
