Proposed supplement labels faces debate

WASHINGTON, March 23 (UPI) - A debate over the kinds of health claims that

dietary supplement labels can carry is heating up as trade organizations

face off against health advocacy groups in a congressional hearing this

week. The Food and Drug Administration is proposing regulations that would

prohibit claims about how the products might treat, diagnose, cure or

prevent disease.
