Guest guest
Regarding the blood/brain barrier of certain drugs in the aid of neurodegenerative diseases, I have read of the drug pentosan polysulphate being used successfully on mice to eradicate cjd symptoms. I have been told that it cannot penetrate the blood/brain barrier in people. From some of the suggestions in Mr. High's article might it be possible to use the sugar, etc injection to solve that problem in regard to cjd. I certainly think that some scientist/researcher and certainly hope that someone is studying such a thing. My husband has cjd and I have been giving him pentosan polysulphate. So far, I have not seen a major change (some minor ones, maybe). He was really far along in the disease when we tried it. According to the CNN article on cjd not many scientists are even studying cjd. It seems as if those of us going through this are alone.
