Guest guest
First of all, thanks to those who sent messages of encouragement during my big-time frustration. It looks as though I've broken through whatever the problem was for two weeks -- I'm back in ketosis finally. And I think I agree with many of you who suspected that the culprit at work was my Depo Provera injection and all its nasty hormones. It's been 2 weeks since the injection, and I'm not doing anything differntly -- I think my body just needed some time to work on spreading out the hormones, and now it can refocus its efforts on my ketosis. Yippee!! I'm still down only 2 pounds in almost 6 weeks. But I continue to hold out faith. I'm being true to the plan, and I know it's going to pay off. Hey, at least I'm not gaining, right? I have a question for you guys. I've always been a pasta fan, and, with the onset of cooler weather, I decided to try the substitute: spaghetti squash. I made some meatballs, found some relatively low-carb marinara, and popped my squash in the oven, following the directions in the Low Carb Cookbook. I thoroughly enjoyed a big plate of the stuff, but my spaghetti squash was a little crunchy. I know it's not pasta, but is it supposed to be a little crunchy, or did I undercook it? Regardless, it didn't stop me from eating it! And enjoying every last bite!! Even my skeptical boyfriend liked it! Anxious to hear if anyone else has done any experimenting with this.... Take care, and best of luck to all! in Atlanta 150/148/
