Guest guest
Hi there; Well had his scope today and as ussual they didn't find anything. So its up to the biopsies to see if the eos are gotten worse. I think if its bad that they will put him on prednisone. I am not to keen on it, but I can't feed him right now without him putting out blood. But it was neat to know what the doc was saying and I was up on my info thanks to all of you guys. So at least I know where I am at. Also his stomach is not really emptying and she saw very little movement. But the end of his jejunostomy does have super motility. Damm if I understand it, nor do they. We can't even try a propulsid to help the emptying. Figures. Now if the Ketotifen doesn't work anymore we might try the new drug before resorting to steroids. So we wait till the end of the week to see what the plan will be. I HATE WAITING. Hope everyone is okay beatrix mom to 7 hd etc yada yada yada
Guest guest
Bea-- The entire GI tract does not work the same while under anesthesia.. so I hope the doc was talking about another test when discussing gastric emptying --- Steph. Guest guest
Hi steph; I know that there are other test for gastric emptying. But its most likey true that he isn't emptying well and would explain some of the things. We are always amazed by things. His GI knows since she does most of the motility studies and is really into this. So we are on hold for now. Meanwhile he is complaining bitterly that he can't eat and yet he is on full TPN. So we just have to grin and bear it for now I guess. Beatrix
