Guest guest
Sorry, guys, I thought I sent it to all the support groups, but I must have left the eos group off! Perish the thought! My 12-y/o's gym teacher called me Wed afternoon all upset and said that " refused to participate in my class and was quite rude about it " . This was distinctly out of character for my very shy, quiet, respectful, don't-anybody-look-at-me type of kid. I asked him what brought this on, and he said, " kenneth just said he didnt want to do wrestling " .... I WAS LIVID. has a 504 plan in place which plainly states he has a feeding tube. The teacher has TWICE initialed seeing this plan. It turned out, that told him BEFORE the activity he didnt want to participate, the teacher told him to do it anyway. tried it, obviously it was pulling on his tube so he stopped and told the teacher it was hurting. The teacher told him to GET BACK ON THE MAT. He did, it hurt, he stopped again and this time refused completely. By this point it was a big scene and all the kids were watching. The teacher felt like he had mud on his face and tried to make an example out of my " bad " kid. ERRRRRRRRR. I was absolutely out of my mind. Can you imagine how horrible it would have been had the tube actually been ripped out WRESTLING? AAAAGGGHHH. I have contacted a lawyer and while at this point I do not plan on suing them, I AM bringing him with me to my meeting with the Superintendent of Schools on Tue. Sorry for the confusion earlier. Steph. __________________________________________________
