Guest guest
Hi everyone, We now have 15 states online. Thanks to all the people working on this! Just wanted to point out to everyone, that Death records are public records. That is why newspapers are able to print them without fear of litigation. Anything a newspaper prints we also may print. Freedom of information act... We still for courtesy sake, will use intitials if that is what the family wishes... AUTOPSIES, these are NOT public records. WE do NOT want autopsies. If the deceased has CJD, and it is printed in the newspapers, then it is deemed a public record also. We should, out of courtesy, ask the families if (if possible to locate them) it is all right to print that the person had CJD.... If the records are posted anywhere else in a public document, etc. then it is a public record from that point forward.... We want to do the honorable thing, if we can locate the family, and ask the families if it is ok to print and document the CJD Victim. Our main goal in this project is to document cases for the purpose of MORE research and eventually, hopefully, a CURE. I have had a couple questions as to this and thought it should be clarified.
